Affro boy, and Erin's blog

So I have not posted any photos of my sweet little pumpkin from Halloween, what kind of mom blogger waits so long....hmmm, I guess that would be me. So here are some photos of Affro man (pick in hair included) lots of bling and loads of fun at the church festivals we visited. So much fun all in one night. We had a great time, we visited Uncle Adam and then headed to Deer Camp!
Yes, at 10:30 pm G and daddy went to the cabin to be up early am for youth hunt week end. They did not get anything but had a great time, brought home some pics and made a video. They tried to get me to go but I got our house back in order from the throwing and going of football season.
This is one of G's little friends from school, I think they are kind of sweet on each other.

Okay, so I don't know how I arrived on Erins blog ( I think it was from Ceals blog) but I am so glad I did. Please go check her out, there you will meet a man named Nick. Nick is amazing, find him here, http://inkysmiles.blogspot.com/2008/11/thoughts-for-thursday-power-of.html
I do not want to tell you to much about Nick so you will be as amazed, inspired and touch as I was!

So the Daddy was working overtime which meant free time for us and I did a shoot of my son. He is the cutest, most handsom, heartbreaker.....ummmm okay, he is my son. Here are a couple to share..

I will post more soon and get back on a schedule. Oh yes, we start basketball practice next week too!!! Phew, I was worried we would be normal and stay at home some......

Do you smell the homemade bread baking?

Do you smell the home made bread? Ahhhhh, I love the smell of baking, yes baking in the middle of summer. I pulled out my bread machine, what for ? Because we (all 3 of us) were in a conversation about food prices (I think) and I had read one of my many articles about the raising costs. In the article it gave percentages of how much food has risen in price due to the extream gas increases we are all feeling. Any how, my sweet little boy said, "Well Mommy why don't you make the bread?" I said,.....well I could, I used to make bread all of the time Garrett. So I was prompted to pull out my bread maching and make a loaf. I can't eat it buy I know my guys will love it. The loaf of bread I purchase every week just for the guys is $2.45 and sometimes $2.75. One bag of bread flour is $2.45, not sure how many loaves that will make. I used to get a huge bag of bread flour for like $6.00 from Sam's club. I am dependent on someone buying it for me since I do not have a membership. I am going to put in my order for bread flour to a friend and start making more bread!!!! Home made is always better and I love to bless others with a fresh home baked loaf!!! I can't wait to give some to my neighbor Ray. (They are long time church family and neighbors) His wife of 40 years is in a fight for her life with brain cancer. It came fast and furious, they removed the tumor last week and she may be coming home this week. Our prayers our in constant thought for this family. Ruby is an awesome woman of faith, she runs a small breakfast and lunch resturant her in town and is loved by many. Ruby lost her mother to brain cancer a few years back, this is so scary for Ruby's family as they were told the disease is hereditary. But we have a mighty God that has his hand upon this family. Please lift this family up in your prayers.

A few weeks ago we picked Blueberrys at Cline Berry Farms down the road. It was such a fun family time. We took a big bucket of berries to Ruby as this is something she loves to do with her family every year. We picked 3 large buckets, I think we need more for the freezer though, I eat them frozen for dessert!!! I am going to make the guys a pie this weekend, wish me luck!! it will be my first blueberry pie.

Scripture and Prayer for Today

He Meets Your NeedsToday's Scripture

"God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Aren't you glad we serve a God who promises to supply all our needs! When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and follow His commands, you have access to God and everything He is; peace, provision, protection and more. That means no matter what is happening in the world today, as you obey God's Word, your needs will be met. No matter what is going on with the economy, gas prices, or housing market, God is still your Source; and if your Source is okay, then you are okay, too. Rest assured there is no lack in heaven. Not only is God able to meet your needs, He wants to meet your needs. It gives Him great pleasure to bless and prosper you. Begin to expect that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Look for His hand of provision in your life and praise Him for His faithfulness. As you do your part, God will do His part. He will open the windows of heaven and pour out His abundant blessing on every area of your lifeA Prayer for TodayFather in heaven, thank You for Your provision in my life. Thank You for loving me and guiding me. I trust that You are meeting every one of my needs today. Help me to follow Your commands that I may honor You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We are the CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!

Goodmorning.....I think I have a blog still....I have been running so much I can't catch myself. We won second seat in the Cal Ripken minor league playoffs and the green team, (I call them the Valley Team because they have alot of Valley Springs School kids on that team and the school color is GREEN!!!) Anyway they won first seat. From the beginning this is how we thought it would go. It was a nail bitting game we stay tied up for an inning or two even. We had to send two of our runners back from home plate due to some crazy throw rule they made just for the tournament. One of our guys was out because he took his foot off first base while the basemen had the ball!!! That's just a little of the excitement we experienced. We ended the game in a tie breaker out, score was 8-7 and Wabash Won!!!! I felt bad for the other team, some of the big heavy hitters broke to tears ........then there were our fellas jumping and screaming in excitement. Of coarse there were some parents that said bad calls.....that's the case in every game and we just have to win, lose and deal with it. It makes for a good lesson in sportsman ship. One of our players was hit in the face with a fast pitch, he was also our pitcher, he had a huge knot on his cheek bone. I think all of our little guys with one exception hit this season!!! I was so excited. Any way enjoy the pictures and have a blessed fourth of July, thank you Lord I live in the land of the Free.

In God's Love,

Here is the link http://www.crejakaarten.blogspot.com. These group of ladies have such talent....I really do want to make some cards but I can't keep from scrappin if I am going to be in my studio, aka the washroom. lol.....Love it though, my little corner set aside to create. I have some photos to share.... So as you can see it's not breath taking by any means...smiles....but it is a space that is set aside just for me and my stuff!!!

Below you can see a tin basket, well it is full of my projects to do, I grab them and do them at lunch time (or that is the plan) summer has really messed up my normal routine...we are busy as beavers at work but should resume normal after August when school starts again!!!

Here is a picture I just love...it's me and my sisters....I am sure you can tell which one I am(hint) I am the oldest of three girls.

Do you recognize the bottles??? They are Frappachino bottles, yep, I cleaned them peeled off the stickers and put them to good use! No, I do not drink them, they were all given to me by my sister in law.... I love it when she hits the bottle, lol... I am going to punch out paper circles to match my scrap room when I figure out what color to paint it. I love them!!!! I like the shape and perfect size. I found the wire holders for the jars and a yard sale for 50 cents!!!! My large wire rack came from share and care for a 1.50. It is really made to hang on the back of a door but my talented husband altered it. The desk below was a freebie that DH work was disposing of. My large work table (last photo) came from a Millbrook sale and I bid 3.00 for it and got it. My shelf that holds my CTMH stacks of inks was from the flea market, I spent 8.00 for it!!! I hated to give that much but it was exactly what I had been looking for.
The rubbermaid stand that holds my die cuts and stamps came from a salvage store, bought it for 8.00. Did I mention I love bargains!!! I always have, I love looking for them and seeing what I can do with them.
We did buy the wire shelving unit below at full price at Walmart!!! uggg...sometimes you just have to.

If you have any comments, questions or ideas I would love to hear them!!! Please email me at tracerdacer@yahoo.com

Have a blessed day,
Tracy

Back to the land of the living....

Wow....I feel like I have lost 3 days of my life!!!! Well kinda..I had a Vertigo attack Friday morning at work and I had to go home until it passed. Nasty ole' stuff!!! It makes the world go into spinning mode and then induces vomiting etc.... I am praying for God to cure this! So the medicine I take knocks you out until the symptoms pass and your can function again. Well, that's what I have done slept away my whole weekend, then you still feel whoosey and drunk hang over feeling and have to hang on to the walls because your balance is off. but praise the Lord I know people are praying for me.

So with that all being said you now know why I have not posted for almost a week! I get so frustrated when it happens because it throws my whole family out of balance. I plan out my weekends with projects and to do lists and now I am playing catch up but at least I am up and going to be able to catch up so that is praise. I have an appointment with the nutritionalist this Thursday to help me with the low sodium diet to help keep the Vertigo episodes away... Please PRAY for my healing as well as my cooking...smiles....

Two Fridays ago Garrett went to Hog Football Camp and daddy was there with the camera!!! What a great job he did, I am so thankful to have such a wonderful father and husband. Every year he takes the whole day off to take Garrett to camp and even hauled around my Canon Rebel and took alot of great photos...We have the Best Daddy ever!!!! Take a look and the fun they had. Also, I can't remember the guys name but he was there and he is the ex-quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys!!! Yes, our Daddy's favorite football team. ( My dream for my husband is to take him to an actual Dallas Cowboys game at Cowboys stadium and sit in great seats!!!! I pray one day we will be able to make that dream a reality and the whole family will be together enjoying it. ) There were several other retired pro football players there but ....I can't remember the details...ooopppsss!!!!!

Happy Hump Day!!!

Here is the new cutain in the kitchen, I want eveything to be open, we live in the country and have beautiful scenery all around us, we are so blessed with our home....

my sons art work, above next is the dining room walls, the church is in transition of where I want to place it. Here is my new through rug, I love the texture in it. Below is the hall way entrance, also red....I just love it....wow, I am always the safe girl that does things the neutral way.....I don't think I will be going back...smile....below is my diningroom corner and where I love to read devotionals and scripture in the mornings.

New cutains...I am still playing
with them....The red is my new bold color of paint on the main wall of our dining room, also the "HUB" of our home.
We are still working on the window...but at least it looks pretty for now, phew...finally....

Here are snapshots of Garrett and Shevera playing with the Salamandor, I did not want them to know I was taking the picture so it would be real....sorry it's not the best, but, it's real....

I love the scroll work on the cross and it just pops against the red, this is in the entrance way. I am not finished with the hall entrance way but I am off to a good start. Just loving it.

Isn't it great to have a holiday through the week everyday??? Okay so it's not a holiday with a paid day off from work but we can still have the attitude that its a great day, smiles.

My Dad called yesterday and said he is on his way and should arrive late this evening!!! Wow, he is really going to be here, I wonder what he looks like now? My dad is not up to date with the digital camera so I have not seen even a photo of him in years. I bet he will have more white hair....lol...he always blamed me for one side of his beard being white because I was the oldest.

Really not that he looks back I am sure he would admit that none of it came from me and he has a white beard because of my two sisters...(love you guys).

Our game was rained out Monday night and is resheduled for June 19th. Just more time to practice, we do have a game thursday night, I am glad Grandpa will be here to watch Garrett in action....(pray he is a heavy hitter) this will be the first game my dad has ever seen him play.

We enjoyed a BBQ at my little sisters house Sunday evening. Her husband Mark made a smoker, (yep, made it himself) sorry I forgot to take a picture) We enjoyed burgers and chicken, it was good, and I brought my favorite Strawberry shortcake for dessert!!! I was great to get to sit and visit with family....we don't get to be together often especially now that her kids are older teens and work. (if they are there they are usually texting!!!!!uggggg....)Here is a cute little picture from the BBQ, Shevera found a Salamandar....

On the last note, I have not had time to post my latest layouts but here is a little house update, but don't give up on me.......they are coming.
Scripture for the day,
This goes perfectly with my strives for 2008, to have the charateristics of Jesus...
Reflect Him
Today's Scripture
“Let this same attitude and purpose and humble mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. Let Him be your example in humility” (Philippians 2:5 AMP).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
When you reflect something, you are exhibiting its likeness. You are displaying its characteristics. Like a mirror, the Bible tells us that we should reflect the character and likeness of Jesus. We should have His same attitude. That may sound like a pretty tall order; after all, Jesus was the Son of God. But remember, when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we become sons and daughters of the Most High God, too. We become empowered by the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead. That means we have the same spirit of humility—the same strength, the same love, the same power on the inside. We are empowered to follow His example and do what He did. When Jesus walked the earth, the scripture says He went around doing good and bringing healing to others, physically, spiritually and emotionally. That’s what we should be doing, too. Notice this verse starts by saying, “Let…” We have to invite God into our attitude and actions. Choose today to invite Him to work in you. As you do, you will reflect Him in your attitude and actions and bring good to others, and you will reap an abundant harvest of blessing in every area of your life.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I invite You to dwell in my thoughts, heart and attitude. I choose to follow Your example and bring good to others. Help me to be a pure reflection of Your love in everything I do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Have a wonderful day and I will upload more later....
